Around the Farms - Views and Exercise on a Mountain Bike.

A fun route if you're looking to explore around the farms between St Helens, Nettlestone and Ryde.  Only for our Vengeance Mountain Bikes, there are a few diversion options,, and if you'd like to get to the large Tesco Extra with as little road use as possible, then this is your start route.  You'll divert onto Bridleway R58 at 2.7 miles.  After the bridleway you'll join the main A road for a few hundred meters and turn right towards Tesco at the roundabout.  You can also divert from a few places to get down to The Mermaid Gin Distillery for food and a relax (divert at 3.3 miles or 4.45 miles).  Otherwise, the route will give you some good exercise on bridleways and tracks and the views, especially when the rapeseed is in flower, are beautiful.   You have the option to head down to Seagrove Bay and back up, or else you can head home from the 4.9 mile mark.  If you head down to Seagrove you can cross towards Seaview on the footpath (please dismount) or take a walk, without the bikes, to Priory Bay.
