eMTB route from The Point in Bembridge to the Red Squirrel Trail to Wroxall and back via Brading Downs.

This route is for either the very fit and experienced mountain biker (push bike) or those of fair fitness and skill on an emtb. The start is located at The Point in Bembridge, a great place to enjoy during the summer months. Take in a few of the sites of Bembridge, including the Lifeboat Station and historic Windmill. Descending on a track you then work around the airport keeping off the main road as much as possible. A trip over to Yaverland (great beach walk at low tide), and then you'll head along to Sandown and then down to the seafront and along the revetment to Shanklin (take a crazy golf break if needed) before heading up and onto the RST (Red Squirrel Trail) which takes you to Wroxall along the old railway line. In Wroxall you'll head towards Appuldurcombe and then up the hill and over some fields to The Freemantle gate. Enjoy the views the downhill run to the main road. You could now leave the route and turn left into Godshill which is just down the road. Otherwise, continue on the route which now goes off road again all the way back to the main Sandown to Newport RST. After a section of the RST you'll head up through Alverstone and towards Brading Downs. Hopefully you have plenty of battery left as you'll be wanting it, right now. A small section of main road later and you're back into the fields and along a wooded track to Brading (please always be considerate of walkers and dogs). Turn off from the centre of Brading and onto your third old railway track back to St Helens. You can then head back to The Point or continue on along to The Duver Hire Co. Hope you enjoyed.
